Debra GiustiFounder DEBRA GIUSTI has had a successful 30 year career as an entrepreneur, event/festival producer, dancer/dance teacher and spiritual adventurer. After getting a BA in Dance and Massage Therapy, in 1977-78 she founded Health & Harmony Festival, Spirit of Christmas Crafts Faire, The Well Being Community Center and the Well Being Community Newspaper. In 1978 she also founded and grew for 15 years Wishing Well Distributing Co., distributing over 3000 health and new age products and videos nationally, and sold it in 1979. Ms. Giusti successfully produced the Harmony Festival and the Spirit of Christmas Crafts Faire for 25 years until 2004, when she established a dynamic production team to continue to produce both events. Since 1978, she has also produced many other community events such as Community Networking Exchange, Sonoma Single Soiree, and hosted prominent nationally known speakers through Harmony Events. She is now publishing TRANSFORMING THROUGH 2012, an online multi-media eBook, www.TransformingThrough2012.com, featuring 35 prominent and emerging 2012 authors with online text, audio and video. Debra's personal passion for spiritual evolvement keeps her on the cutting edge of the human potential/spirituality movement and allows her to continue to provide information, resources and transformational events around personal and planetary evolvement. Howard “Bo” SapperChief Executive OfficerHOWARD SAPPER is a 30-year veteran of the music industry, with extensive experience in all aspects of the entertainment business including A & R, financial forecasting, marketing, promotion, as well as negotiating domestic and international recording licensing and distribution agreements.
He is also the Executive Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs and New Business Development for Domo Music Group, Motema Music and Megawave records, and is the President of Extrordinaire Media.
In the late 1990's he founded Extrordinaire Media, a company whose vision was to create music that transports listeners to sacred regions around the world. In 1998, Extrordinaire Media expanded to a full service entertainment company with clients including Domo Records, Rhino Records, Tarpan Studios/Perfection Light Productions, Quango Records, Motema Music, Megawave Records, Disney, Kitaro, Yoshida Brothers, Sonic Images Records, and Swee'Pea Production.
During his career he has worked with such distinguished artists as Paul Horn, Jaco Pastorius, Kitaro, Bob Weir, Steven Kindler, and such producers as legendary producers Narada Michael Walden and Peter McEvilley. Howard is currently on the Board of Advisors of the Association for Creative Endeavor (ACE), which produced the Harmony Festival for six years.
Sean AhearnProgram Director SEAN AHEARN has served as Program & Business Development Director for the Harmony Festival since 2004. He has over 25 years experience in the international music industry. He is the former President of Pangea Music International and has produced albums, international concert tours festivals and fundraising events with members of The Rolling Stones, The Police, Cream, Black Sabbath and Supertramp.He has been an independent consultant for a variety of distinguished Bay Area organizations including Lonely Planet Books, Earthdance, Solfest, Bread & Roses, Bhakit Fest and The Green Festival. He has traveled to over 50 countries playing basketball, writing traveler's tales and meditating on the meaning of life.Zack DarlingAfter Dark Production Manager, Techno-Tribal Lead Producer ZACK DARLING began his career as an independent event producer in the North Bay and San Francisco, where he cut his teeth in the dynamic underground and later professional rave scenes. In 1999, Zack co-founded Mystic Beat Lounge, a new kind of production company that merged live concerts, DJ sets and performance theater (a la Cirque du Soleil) with 21st century visual effects, to create large-scale maximum multi-sensory concert experiences.The Techno-Tribal Dance is a cutting edge production that peaks the Harmony Festival "after dark" on the Friday and Saturday nights. Now in its eleventh year, Techno-Tribal has developed into an annual over-the-top production characterized by cutting edge sound and visual technology with live DJs, electronic music producers, bands, fire theater, acrobatic and aerial performances, inflatable art, and interactive live-art zones.
Zack is the night time production manager overseeing all of the festival's After Dark productions as well as the Harmony Festival webmaster. Zack works with other producers as an event designer and consultant on event including Earthdance Festival, Sea of Dreams, Burning Man, Reggae on the River, and many others. He has worked for Burning Man festival for 9 years, and for the past 5 years he has served as the North Bay Burning Man regional contact.
As a graphic designer and creative director for Harmony, his highly imaginative, custom creative art for posters, fliers, programs, websites, iPhone apps, and branding has built Zack a reputation as one of the most dynamic visual artists in the music and event industry today.
Bonnie ZimmermannDirector of Marketing & Communications BONNIE ZIMMERMAN has been working in the entertainment industry as a producer, marketer and media specialist for 25 years. Most recently she worked as a senior producer on “Architects of a New Dawn”, a multi-platform media project based on Carlos Santana’s vision of creating a new global network featuring uplifting and positive media content. She has produced national and international philanthropic large scale live events for clients including World Cup, the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and Nobel Laureate Betty Williams, among many others. She has produced over two thousand television and radio commercials for clients including Chevrolet, May Company, Toys ‘R Us and Giorgio of Beverly Hills, and many others.Adrienne BiggsPublicity Manager / Speaker Wrangler / On-site Bookseller Liaison ADRIENNE BIGGS is a long-time publicist and events planner who has represented well-known authors, filmmakers, musicians and arts-related organizations, festivals and events on the local and national level since 1993. Adrienne founded Biggs Publicity & Events in 2002, and her notable clients include The Great Dickens Christmas Fair, International Buddhist Film Festival, Poetry for Water reading series, the Books to Film Series at the Lark Theater, Lucasfilm, and best-selling authors such as Judith Orloff, Natalie Goldberg, Joanna Macy, Dan Millman, Anodea Judith, Starhawk, Oriah Mountain Dreamer, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Thich Nhat Hanh, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, Ainslie MacLeod, Iyanla VanZant, Robin Sharma, AJ Drew, and Hans Holzer, among others. Her mother was a Grammy-winning singer, dad is a composer, and Adrienne has played violin since age 3. For the third year in a row, in 2010 Adrienne will help bring notable speakers to the Harmony Festival line-up as well as promote the Festival and key talent to local, regional, and national media outlets including print, radio, TV, web sites, bloggers and online social networks. Adrienne manages Harmony's presence on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and PickUpPal.com among others, and is our "eagle eye" when it comes to editing and proofreading all related content and materials. She is very pleased to be partnering on PR this year with Yvonne Hendrix, who is on board to wrangle Music Media and the Harmony Connection newsletter for the Festival this year. Robert HenriksonChief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer ROBERT HENRIKSON is a green business entrepreneur with over 30 years experience in sustainable development of natural resources such as algae, bamboo and forest carbon, developing business models for the green economy for our health, our society, and our planet. Previously Robert was President of Earthrise Company, pioneer in spirulina algae and CEO of Bamboo Technologies, world leader in international code certified bamboo buildings. Authored books on spirulina algae and bamboo buildings. Produced the DVD "Folding-Time and Space at Burning Man". Manages a botanical garden and retreat center in Hana Maui and co-owner of a sustainable forestry, permaculture retreat center in Washington. |
