7 Walkers is a new band lead by legendary drummer and co-founder of the Grateful Dead, Bill Kreutzmann. The group features funky voodoo guitarist Papa Mali, bassist Reed Mathis (Tea Leaf Green) and multi-instrumentalist Matt Hubbard (Willie Nelson and Friends). For this special Harmony Festival performance the band will be joined by guitar virtuoso Steve Kimock.

7 Walkers recently spent time in an Austin, Texas studio recording material for their debut album which will be released in May. The album offers up a brand-new batch of original songs co-written with lyricist Robert Hunter (Grateful Dead and Bob Dylan), as well as new arrangements of Grateful Dead favorites, Papa Mali originals, and some traditional New Orleans songbook interpretations. The band will be bringing all this and more home live, with a fiery and funky collection of tunes that quite brilliantly capture the unique collaboration between these musical shamans.
